The NITB Policy and Environment Unit works closely with the tourism industry and our colleagues in Government to present tourism priorities within policy development and to help address barriers to competitiveness that may require legislative change.

Through the One voice. One team initiative led by our NITB Board we have had a busy year of engagement. You helped us to identify 5 key policy priorities: Planning (PPS16), Access into Northern Ireland, Rebalancing the Northern Ireland Economy, Regeneration and National Parks.

Over the past year a number of challenges have emerged which are impacting on tourism here and can only be addressed by the UK Government such as taxation.
